Quayside Sunday Market, Newcastle Review

Lovely quayside walk past 7 of Newcastle’s famous bridges towards Sunday market

This Sunday General market is located in a beautiful setting, underneath the Tyne Bridge. It seemed to be a place where locals came to gather on a Sunday. The market itself had around 40 stalls (apparently 40% less than pre-covid times). There was a section for the hot food trailers and then the rest of the stalls lined up against the railings overlooking the Tyne.

There were a few cake stalls, a book stall, a t-shirt printing stall, sweets, jewellery, bath bombs, bric-a-brac, pottery, vegetables, honey, art and nick knacks.

Lots of hot food stalls here

A few stalls caught our eye, in particular the super-talented @neilpattersonart  · Artist. This was an unexpected pleasure of a stall particularly as all of his art looked like it was photographed, but look closer and you could see that it was hand drawn. Amazing stall, lovely man.

We also enjoyed the double fronted stall of Ellysian, hand made jeweller. Very attractive stall and goods.

A thoroughly enjoyable day out. Lots of buzz about the quayside and stalls were all busy. Too busy to take any significant pictures of stalls without people standing in the way!
